“Entrepreneurship Cells” are the new project to be implemented by the Ministry of Education through the Operational Programme “Education and Lifelong Learning” co-financed by the European Social Fund.
The project aims at providing strong support to young people who have distinguished themselves for their business ideas in order to turn them into mature business plans and commercially viable businesses.
The support provided by the “Entrepreneurship Cells” consists of the following:
- Award of study grants of a short duration, so that the young people who wish to “start a business” are able to fully concentrate on their business plans.
- Provision for the possibility to work in specific co-working spaces (following the example of internationally known such spaces) based on the most up-to-date international standards. The main objective is for these co-working spaces to work as incubators for young potential businessmen, since there are favourable conditions in these spaces for developing cooperation and elaborating ideas and plans.
- Provision for the possibility to get in touch with leaders (mentors) and organise information seminars and cooperation days with the contribution of a network made up of special advisers-leaders, who will offer support to the Programme by providing counselling services, guiding and training young people, and also supporting their contact with potential investors.
The young people who will benefit from the Programme can be students, trainees, university alumni or post-secondary education alumni who have excelled in the context of entrepreneurship contests or will excel in contests to be organised in the framework of this project.
The “Entrepreneurship Cells ”Invitation has been published by the Managing Authority of the Operational Programme “Education and Lifelong Learning” whereas its implementation will be carried out by the General Secretariat for Youth.
