2nd ShipIT Conference
Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) are revolutionizing shipping, transforming existing operations and opening business opportunities. The need to innovate in terms of performance, security, quality of services and reliability has become a necessity for shipping companies, ship owners, and the entire industry. On the other side, there are numerous risks that need to be identified, understood and mitigated to make sure that technologies are safely integrated into the shipping operations and design. The 2nd ShipIT Conference organized on Thursday September 29, 2016 at Benaki Museum Amphitheatre, is creating a unique knowledge exchange and networking platform for the maritime industry, where senior executives will dive into issues such as Quality, Maritime Big Data, Cyber Risk & Security and Digital Transformation.
The Conference, organized by netweek magazine in cooperation with the Association of Maritime Managers for Information Technology and Communications (AMMITEC), for the second year in a row, aims to present and assess the importance of Information and Telecommunications Technology (ICT) in creating best practices, innovative approaches, unique business models and tools leading to a more efficient, safer, smarter and innovative operation of shipping companies.
Moreover the conference is a great opportunity to open a B2B dialogue and strengthen networking. The agenda will be designed to allow conference participants ample time to visit the exhibiting companies and organizations at the convention center.
